COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

Masks will be required for me and all clients. Clients are asked to bring in their own mask to wear throughout a service. Throughout waxing services and those that allow both client and myself to be masked, I will be wearing a homemade mask. I have many, and will change to a new one for each client. I will wear N95 masks during appointments when a clients face cannot be covered by a mask. (Facial, lip, chin, sides of face waxing). If clients arrive without a mask, they will be asked to wear one.

The waiting room will be closed until further notice. Clients can come in through the spa entrance, but at the time of arrival, I will be ready to escort people into the room. Please do not arrive early for your appointment time. I am carefully curating my schedule to make exposure as limited as possible, and the waiting room will not be opened prior to your appointment. Please do not have any have anyone accompany you to your appointment.

I will be removing the upholstered chair from my spa room and replacing it with a chair that is able to be disinfected.

I will be removing all excess bedding from my table. Clients having face waxing will be asked to lay directly on the table (it can be disinfected). Body waxing and facials will be provided with clean sheets for every service.

The bolster and pillow will only be allowed during facial or body waxing services. The pillows can be placed safely under the clean sheets. Pillows will not be available for facial waxing services.

The building wipes down the bathrooms and elevators twice a day. I will also perform wipe downs throughout my shifts. Remember: the elevator is small. Try to limit to one person on it at a time. Bathrooms are communal for the floor. As much as we wipe down, please use with caution.

Filtered water and candy will not be available. Please bring your own water bottle.

I will continue to practice safe disinfection procedures. I have completed the Barbicide training. Additionally I will be filling out a daily Barbicide journal documenting the solution is changed each day.

My laundry has been sent out and professionally laundered for the past 3 years, and I will continue to do that.

At checkout, clients will only touch their credit/debit cards. I will hold the reader and show you where to insert your card. I will confirm the total with you, and “sign” on my phone. Once processed, you will remove your card. I will still accept cash and checks.

This summer the spa will be HOT! We will be running the air conditioner, but fans will not be utilized as much as previous years.

I will not be using the steamer until further notice. I will place hot towels on the face throughout a facial.

Unless requested, I will wear gloves during portions of a facial, but not during the entire service.
